A squeak and rattle issue was detected due to metal-to-metal contact in the new folding seat design of a major auto manufacturer. The manufacturing process for the seat frame meant whatever was used to address BSR would have to also withstand the 450deg F temperature of an electrocoat bake oven.

Wright Coating developed a production process to precisely apply Nylon 11-based formulated powder coating.

Applied Nylon 11 powder is retained through the high-temperature oven and provides a permanent, self-lubricating surface that eliminates the squeak and rattle from the seat assembly.
