Sound Dampening for Springs

Situation

Customer discovered that dampening springs on their vibratory finishing machines reach a harmonic that create an annoying “ringing” sound

Approach

Apply uniform coating of vinyl plastisol.  Consistent coverage is achieved and the flexible, thermoplastic nature of the coating absorbs harmonics generated by the springs.

Result

Annoying “ringing” sound is eliminated.
