Seat Spring BSR

Situation

A chronic squeaking issue was detected at the insertion points at both ends of a coil seat spring. Although application of controlled thickness coating was the identified solution it was also critical to avoid contaminating the spring coils in order to ensure their proper function.

 

Approach

Wright Coating developed an efficient and precise process to dip both spring ends into a plastisol formulation without contaminating the spring coil. 

Result

Precision coating of spring ends provides a noise free spring mechanism.  Wright Coating has coated several hundred thousand spring ends for this application, including coil coating plastisol.
