Overhead Console BSR

Situation

Manufacturer identified a squeak generating from the overhead console in their popular pickup truck. A retainer spring clip was isolated as the source. Standard E-coat paint could not eliminate the annoyance.

 

 

Approach

Wright Coating applied a controlled thickness, thin film of nylon 11 (WRYLON®) to the retainer spring clip.  WRYLON® enabled a highly durable film with natural lubricity.

Result

Spring clips coated using the WRYLON® process eliminated the squeak.  Wright Coating Technologies has coated several million retainer spring clips for this application.
